Ford Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official introductory program, providing a fun and inclusive basketball experience for 5-10 year-olds serving as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game.
Ford Aussie Hoops has been designed to ensure that for each age group, players are participating in activities and games that are relevant to their physical and mental capabilities, increasing in competitiveness until participants are ready to transition into local club competitions.

FEES
Aussie Hoops fees are paid per term, you can find out more about our development session fees here. New participants can also select player packs that include basketballs and customised singlets.

JUNIOR BASKETBALL SIZES
Junior players often want to play at home and school, here’s a guide to the correct sized basketball for your child:
Size 4 – Boys and girls ages 7 and under. The basketball has a circumference of 64.5cm.
Size 5 – Boys and girls ages 8 – 9. The basketball has a circumference of 69.5cm
Size 6 – Girls and women ages 9+ and boys ages 9 – 12. The basketball has a circumference of 72.5cm.
Size 7 – Boys and men ages 12+. The basketball has a circumference of 75cm.
