Pink Squad is Springwood Scorcher’s Girls only development session. Our Pink Squad program is strongly aligned with I AM A GIRL run by Basketball NSW which aims to create a platform to encourage girls and women of all ages to play, referee, coach, officiate and administrate basketball.
Pink Squad is a positive and friendly program designed to help girls to gain the confidence and skills ready to join our female competitions. The sessions consist of skills, drills and team games which participants can then put into practice when they join the competition.

JUNIOR BASKETBALL SIZES
Junior players often want to play at home and school, here’s a guide to the correct sized basketball for your child:
Size 4 – Boys and girls ages 7 and under. The basketball has a circumference of 64.5cm.
Size 5 – Boys and girls ages 8 – 9. The basketball has a circumference of 69.5cm
Size 6 – Girls and women ages 9+ and boys ages 9 – 12. The basketball has a circumference of 72.5cm.
Size 7 – Boys and men ages 12+. The basketball has a circumference of 75cm.
