Ford Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official introductory program, providing a fun and inclusive basketball experience for 5-10-year-olds that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game.
Ford Aussie Hoops has been designed to ensure that for each age group, participants are participating in activities and games that are relevant to their physical and mental capabilities, which will increase in competitiveness until participants are ready to transition into local club competitions. Each of our sessions are split into age groups to allow kids to learn different skills each week alongside kids of their own age and size. Our Term 3 2024 sessions are available for booking on this page, or on our Instagram or Facebook pages.
SDBA Session Times
Our Ford Aussie Hoops programs are school term based so are generally 10 weeks in length. We currently run three sessions a week: Monday 5:10pm – 6:10pm, Friday 5:10 – 6:10pm, and Saturday 9:00am – 10:00am.
Our sessions have limited numbers, with 42 players and 3 coaches being the maximum capacity for each session.

The 2024 Term 4 Monday Ford Aussie Hoops program starts on the 14th of October, and runs for 10 weeks, finishing 16th December.
The 2024 Term 4 Friday Ford Aussie Hoops program starts on the 18th of October, and runs for 10 weeks, finishing 20th December.
The 2024 Term 4 Saturday Ford Aussie Hoops program starts on the 19th of October, and runs for 10 weeks, finishing 21st December.

Aussie Hoops Cost per Term
New participant – $125, with various options of player packs involved.
Returning participant – $105.
