SDBA offers the following domestic competitions for Senior members to participate in:
- Open Women – Monday nights
- Div 2 Men– Thursday nights
- Div 1 Men – Thursday nights
We run two competitions a year: Summer – Terms 4 and 1 of the following year and Winter – Terms 2 & 3. Our Senior Competitions play through school holidays with the exception of December/January.
All Senior team nominations are completed online and the nomination fee is payable at the time of registration. Once nominations are open existing team will be sent a link to renominate for the next competitions. If we have places available in competitions the nomination link will be advertised on our Facebook page and here.
No senior player is permitted to play down a division during a competition. Players CAN ONLY play in ONE division per competition.
All Senior teams are to provide two duty people for their team’s games. Duty roster will be created by the Association based on the competition draw.
Players in the senior (opens) competitions must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the season. Representative junior players wanting to play in the senior competition must be at least 14 years of age and obtain approval from the Board.
Representative Player Rule
Any representative player (junior or senior) playing in the senior competition it is recommended to play in Division 1. Seniors may play lower divisions. Lower division teams have 10 points for Senior Representative players. For purposes of calculating Representative Player points Waratah Championship players are 12 points, all other Senior Representative players are 6 points.
