Season Format
SDBA run two competitions a year: Summer – Terms 4 and 1 of the following year and Winter – Terms 2 & 3.

- Open Women – Monday nights
- Open Men (Divisions 1, 2 and 3) – Thursday

Team Nominations
All Senior team nominations are completed online, and the nomination fee is paid upon registration. The nomination link is first sent out to existing teams, and if we have places available in competitions the nomination link will be advertised on our Facebook page and on the website here.
Divisions
No senior player is permitted to play down a division during a competition. Players can only play in ONE division per competition, but may fill in for a higher division three times ONLY.
Duty
All Senior teams are to provide two duty people for their team’s games. Duty roster will be created by the Association based on the competition draw.
Player Ages
Players in the senior (opens) competitions must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the season. Representative junior players wanting to play in the senior competition must be at least 14 years of age and obtain approval from the Board.
Representative Player Rules
Any Senior representative player must play in Division 1. Junior Representative players may play in lower divisions, but Division 1 is recommended. Lower division teams have 10 points for Senior Representative players. For purposes of calculating Representative Player points Waratah Men players are 12 points, all other Senior Representative players are 6 points.
