Playing Representative basketball is a privilege, and a reflection of players skills, sportsmanship, understanding of the game and positive attitude towards development. Our program aims to provide players and coaches with education, development and, opportunities to improve, as well as represent SDBA at other BNSW elite athlete trials and programs.
Wearing the Scorchers uniform for our senior Representative Program means that players are committed to:
- Compulsory Weekly training sessions
- Attending representative games.
- Developing skills, game intelligence and toughness throughout the season, which can be applied to all levels of the game
- Paying the required Representative Levies
- Actively contribute to volunteering your time to the Association at Holiday Clinics, community stalls or other opportunities
SDBA enter teams into Basketball NSW’s Waratah League.
