Cut Off Dates

For Junior Competitions, the cut-off date is 11th April. This means anyone turning 12 prior to 11th April must sign up for U14s, as they will turn 12 during the competition and are therefore not UNDER 12. If you are seeking exceptions, please contact our Domestic Development Officer to see if an exception can be made, which will only be done so in extreme circumstances.

Fees

Registration: All players must hold a valid BNSW registration with Springwood Scorchers prior to playing in any competition. More information about registrations can be found HERE , including how to check when your registration expires. If you have a primary registration with another association, you must register with us as well for a reduced cost of $50.

Junior Competition Fees: All players in our Junior Competitions must be registered with BNSW (see above), as well as pay our Summer 2024/25 Junior Court Fees. This season, players will add themselves to their teams via an online form, sent out after a successful team nomination. Players must pay the $180 Court Fees in order to complete this form and join the team. If there are issues with payment, or you need to pay at a later date, the Domestic Development Officer must be contacted to see if an arrangement can be made.

There are no fees in Junior Competitions for forfeits, just a loss of a competition point.

Senior Competition Fees:  All players in our Senior Competitions must be registered with BNSW (see above). Each team must pay the nomination fee, as well as $80 per week per team.

The nomination fees are variable this season, dependent on whether a duty ref is nominated with the team ($70), or if there isn’t a duty ref nominated ($100). These duty refs, unless otherwise organised with Alan, are to be used as emergency only referees to ensure that all games are covered for the 2024/25 season. This fee must be paid when completing the official online nomination form.

Weekly court fee payments are also changing – they will NO LONGER BE TAKEN AT THE CANTEEN ON GAME NIGHTS. A form will be sent to the team contact that allows teams to pay in two instalments. Forfeit fees will be monitored in a similar method, with an online form sent out to teams that forfeit without the appropriate notice (48 hours). An $80 fee is sent for those that forfeit within 48 hours, a $160 fee for those that forfeit on the day, and a $240 fee for unnotified forfeits.
